Volunteer for Killer Nashville

Killer Nashville is a volunteer-run organization and would not continue without the help, support, and dedication of our volunteer staff. As we continue to grow, our volunteer needs continue to grow as well.

We are always looking for volunteers, so if you are interested and think you can help, be sure to fill out the form below.

Lu Ann Curlee

Lu Ann Curlee has volunteered for several years in various ways: panel member, panel moderator and registration.

Amy Denton has been a teacher for eighteen years in both history and English. She is currently working on a full-length paranormal mystery.

Kathleen Donnelly

Kathleen Donnelly is the author of the award-winning National Forest K-9 series. She was a Lisa Jackson scholarship recipient and Claymore finalist.

Kay Elam
Catherine Embry

Kay Elam has had her short stories published in four anthologies and has finished three novels. An avid reader and popular editor, she lives outside of Nashville, TN, with her husband, Greg.

Catherine Embry, writer, artist and designer from Atlanta, was inspired by her love of British mystery to focus on writing full time. Under the pen name Cate Caplan, she is the author of the Aggie Cabrerra mystery series. Learn more at www.catecaplan.com.

Bradley Harper

Sharon Woods Hopkins is a retired real estate broker and mortgage banker who lives in Southeast Missouri with her writer husband, retired judge Bill Hopkins, a Yorkie named Diesel and a cat named Wilhelmina. A current cancer survivor, Sharon spends her days in her shop restoring old furniture and writing now with her husband.

Jeffrey Philips

Jeffrey “Hammerhead” Philips strapped on a scuba cylinder for the first time in 1967. Dove for two years, decided he liked the water and obtained his scuba certification from NASDS, then became a PADI instructor. In 1980 he married the prettiest mermaid in the ocean, Kitty. Today, he lives in Hilham, Tennessee, writing fictionalized events of his travels.

Nancy Sartor

Nancy Sartor is an award-winning Nashville-born writer, a charter member and current president of Word Spinners Ink, a member of MWA, RWA, and SiNC, the former secretary of SEMWA, moderator of the Crimson Quills critique workshop, a graduate of Donald Maass's Breakout Novel Intensive Workshop, and the Writer's Police Academy.”

Clay Stafford is the founder of Killer Nashville and has been producing the event as a volunteer since 2006.

Jacqueline Stafford serves as the volunteer CFO of Killer Nashville and has been instrumental in keeping the finances straight and the bills paid since 2006.
