Cathy Pickens’ first novel, SOUTHERN FRIED, called an “assured debut, a cozy with some sharp edges” by Publishers’ Weekly, won St. Martin’s Malice Domestic Award for Best Traditional Mystery. In addition to writing mysteries, Cathy is a lawyer and a business professor at Queens University of Charlotte. She served on the national board of Mystery Writers of America and is president and founding member of the regional Forensic Medicine Program. She is education chair and a past-president of Sisters in Crime, the 3000-member organization of crime writers and readers.
