KILLER NASHVILLE 2009

For Forensics Junkies
Non-Writers & Writers Alike
Three Full Days

Killer Nashville offers an extensive forensics track, with presentations by law enforcement officials, forensic anthropologists, psychologists, psychiatrists, attorneys, and medical personnel.

One of Killer Nashville’s most popular annual features is a crime scene staged by a Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) special agent. Attendees gather clues and try to solve the case. The person who best interprets the clues and solves the murder wins a free registration to the next year’s conference. If you’ve ever wanted to put on your sleuthing hat and try your hand at crime-solving, Killer Nashville can give you that chance.

Tentative topics for the 2009 forensic track include:

  • Cold Case Investigation Techniques
  • Police Procedures: Appropriate—and Inappropriate—Use of Force
  • The Technology of Crime and Investigation
  • Poisons and Murderers
  • Mental Illness in the Courtroom
  • The Mind of the Psychopath
  • The Art of Surveillance
  • Blood Tells: Reading Blood Spatter Evidence
  • Private Investigation Techniques
  • Catching Killers: How the FBI / TBI Catch the Worst of the Worst

Join us on August 14-16, 2009 to learn more about the tools, techniques, and perspectives of the people who commit and solve crimes.
