KILLER NASHVILLE 2008 BREAKOUT GROUPS

A Publishing Breakout Group at Killer Nashville

Are you a writer with specific questions you would like addressed?  Do you want a chance to sit with an author in a small intimate setting and discuss the business of writing and getting published?  Then a breakout session may be just the answer.

At the small cost of $15 each, Killer Nashville breakout sessions are a real bargain. These limited-attendance question-answer sessions are conducted by professional authors, with the sole purpose of providing information that attendees would like to ask, but without the pressure of being in a larger panel or whole-group setting. Killer Nashville 2008 is offering three separate breakout sessions, each led by a different author.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 15, 5:20-6:30 PM

Chris Roerden

On Friday August 15, the breakout session, “Don’t Murder Your Mystery, Don’t Sabotage Your Submission,” will be conducted by editor Chris Roerden, author of the award-winning book on self-editing for writers, Don’t Murder Your Mystery.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 16, 5:20-6:30 PM

P.J. Parrish

P.J. Parrish, New York Times bestselling author of the Louis Kincaid and Joe Frye series, will be heading the Sunday August 17 breakout session. Whether you are just beginning your novel or ready to seek publication, this session, entitled, “Now What?” will help you determine the next steps of your journey. P.J. Parrish is the pseudonym of sisters Kelly Nichols and Kristy Montee.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 17, 2:30-3:30 PM

Steven Womack

On Saturday August 16, Edgar Award winner Steven Womack will conduct a breakout session with the self-explanatory title, “If the Process of Writing is Such a Joy, Why Does the Business of Writing Have to Suck So Badly?” Steve has also been the recipient of the coveted Shamus award.

Participants must be registered attendees of Killer Nashville 2008. Enrollment is limited.  Register now.
